The Competition
Shooting Lead Rabbits and Third Light Records are launching a remix competition.
The song we want you to Mash Up, Man Handle and Masticate, is retro groove track ‘This Town’ taken from the Shooting lead Rabbits debut album.
The complete set of parts (9 of them at 24bit quality!) will be made available to download from this site on the 1st August when this competition officially starts.
The PRIZE
The prize is simple and a fantastic opportunity for anyone trying to make a name for themselves in the production world…
The winning masterpiece will be mastered in the studios at Third Light and used as the official b-side to a future Shooting lead Rabbits RELEASE! On top of this, the winner will receive a Prize Pack of SLR Coolstuff. So GET ON IT!
What You Have To Do
On the 1st of August, go to shootingleadrabbits.com and find the REMIX DOWNLOADS page. On that page you will find 9 files (24bit WAV) from the original ‘This Town’ track. You will also find the chords and lyrics to the song too… We want you to do whatever you like to make this track as interesting and different and cool as possible. Whether your genre is House, Dub, Drum&Bass, Ska, DubStep, Trance, Glitch, Minimal, Bosnian Folk etc. etc. etc. We want to hear it all.
DEADLINE
You will be given until the 1st of November 2010 (Three Months).
When we have collected all the submissions, The Band along with Third Light Records A&R will sit in the studio and decide a winner. The winner will be announced towards the end of November So WACH THIS SPACE.
